Exploring SQIDEP - Setting the Standard for Stormwater Treatment
- Description

About the Webinar
SQIDEP (Stormwater Quality Improvement Device Evaluation Protocol) is a set of key criteria for the verification of stormwater device capabilities and performance. An industry-standard developed over five years by Stormwater Australia, the revolutionary system was adopted in 2018.
Setting the standard for stormwater is part of a sustainable future and ensuring better water quality outcomes, SQIDEP helps you to make better choices when assessing viable assets for your on-site requirements.
Presented by SPEL’s Robert Chesterfield (NSW Team Leader) and Dr Darren Drapper (Principal Engineer and Director of Drapper Environmental Consultants), this webinar will investigate the ways SQIDEP verifies the data and pollution removal specifications for stormwater devices.
As demand for stormwater assets grow, it is imperative that pollution removal and water quality outcomes meet industry standards. SQIDEP is a standardised way of validating the performance of stormwater devices – and helps to set appropriate benchmarks for reliability, integrity and consistency of the data that supports stormwater devices.
SPELFilter was recently granted approval through the SQIDEP process and has passed the rigorous testing and performance capability assessments by independent third parties. It joins SPEL’s range of approved devices including SPELBasin & Hydrochannel.
